Where is eXp Realty open for business?
eXp operates across Canada as well as in the U.S. and roughly 29 countries worldwide, so your license and business can grow with you if you relocate.
Do I need to be a licensed agent to join?
Yes — eXp is a licensed brokerage, so you'll need an active real estate license (or be in the process of obtaining one) in your province.
What are the fees to join?
eXp has no franchise or royalty fees. There's a modest monthly fee and per-transaction fees that fund the cloud platform, tools, and support — I'll walk you through the current fee schedule directly.
Is eXp a good fit for a new agent?
It can be, especially paired with a sponsor who actively mentors — which is exactly what I offer every agent I sponsor. New agents also benefit from a reduced-split mentorship structure on their first few transactions.
Can my whole team or brokerage join together?
Yes. Teams and brokerages transition to eXp regularly, and programs like Boost and Thrive exist specifically to support that move.
What's the actual compensation plan?
An 80/20 split to a $16,000 annual cap, revenue share on agents you sponsor, and stock awards for production milestones. See the "Compensation" section above for the full breakdown.
